Note: Make sure you are using a device that supports offline mode before continuing. To see the devices that are currently supported, see this article: Offline Mode
There are two ways to enable offline mode: manually, using the "Force Offline Payments" toggle in settings, or automatically when your device loses connection.
Manual Offline Mode
If your device is connected to the internet, but the connection is slow and affecting your processing time, you can manually enable offline mode. This will cause all transactions to be processed as if your device is offline. You can enable/disable manual offline mode at any time by selecting "Settings" > "Force Offline Payments". This is only available while connected to the internet.
Automatic Offline Mode
When your device loses connection to the internet, it will prompt you to enable offline mode. You can select "Go To Settings" to change to a network with the internet, or you can select "Continue in Offline Mode". After continuing in offline mode, you will see a red "Offline Mode" banner at the top of the screen. The banner will go away automatically when you reconnect to the internet.
Viewing Offline Payments
You can view your offline payments at any time by selecting "Settings" > "Offline Payments". You will see the total dollar amount for the transactions you have collected while offline. When you reconnect to the internet, the "Sync" button at the bottom of the screen will turn blue, allowing you to quickly process all transactions taken while offline. If you do not use the sync button, the transactions will still process, but it will be a slower pace than using eh sync button.
